What is the beetle?
The beetle, small wood-boring insect (ILX) that burrows or drills into wood. In the long term, the damage caused by this tiny little animal can be disastrous.
Like house beetles and termites, the wood beetle considerably reduces the life span of wooden furniture by eating away at the surface. The wood beetle is the most dangerous beetle in the home. It weakens wooden structures such as frames, beams and floors.
The different types of beetles

Adult beetles of all species are relatively small, between 2 and 8 mm in size. The beetle creates relatively small holes, but in the long term, the damage can quickly be felt. They wreak havoc in order to move easily through the wood. In addition, depending on the species, some beetles reproduce very quickly. The female beetle can lay up to 200 eggs in the wood in the summer.
However, the eggs first become larvae before becoming adults, and this cycle varies between 9 months and 10 years, depending on the species and the conditions in which they develop, notably the nature of the wood, humidity, temperature or the presence of fungi. The wood beetle is a very harmful insect, if your wood is infected with it, a quick treatment is required to quickly deal with the problem.
